Taking my own advice…
…and taking a break from writing.
This past week has given me a much-needed hiatus, allowing me to replenish the creative reservoir.
If you feel like you’ve been running on creative fumes, consider giving yourself a break. It doesn’t have to be a matter of weeks – and often that isn’t an option. But even giving yourself a few days away from the keyboard will allow room for new ideas, fresh perspectives, and unexpected sources of inspiration.
Try it! You’ll be glad you did.
Will be returning to my own keyboard next week – until then, take care and have a fantastic weekend!
I find a short break usually allows the ideas to flow in!
I think you’re totally right Heather. Sometimes you wonder where the next idea is going to come from but then you remove yourself from the pressures of writing for a while and things start to flow a bit better. Good for you giving yourself some time off too.
I always come back from a break with fresher ideas and a brighter tone/voice in my writing. Breaks are never a bad idea.
